We want Hachicon to be accessible to everyone, and to do that we are asking for your help! Please take a moment to fill out our Accessibility survey and let us know what your needs are! Your experiences are valuable, and your needs are important. If there is anything we can do to accommodate them, we want to do our best!
ADA Paw Print:
When requested at registration, you will be given a paw print sticker to put on your badge to signify ADA priority. This gives you access to ADA priority seating, and other ADA services if needed. Either let a volunteer or staff member know your ADA status or show us the sticker if you need or want to be more discreet about it. We are here to help!
If you need a safe route to travel the con, follow Hachi’s paw prints around the con – she has mapped out the path that will avoid stairs and other obstacles that might get in your way!
Quiet Room/Manga library:
At HachiCon, we have a quiet room that doubles as a manga library! Please come check it out if you are feeling overwhelmed, need some time to sit and relax, or just want to read a good manga! We ask for the following rules to be followed:
– Please do not leave children under the age of 13 unattended in quiet room. This is not a kid’s room! If you must attend your child, please follow the rules below.
– Please help keep the quiet room quiet by speaking in a whisper and keeping all other noises low.
– Quiet stimming (such as hand flapping, rocking, tapping feet, quiet fidgets ect) is encouraged.
– Please treat all property with respect, especially the books and seating
– all books must stay in the library
– while there are chargers available, please do not leave electronics unattended and allow people turns it needed
– Do not hesitate to ask a staff or volunteer for help
